Role Overview:
As a Construction Manager, you will act as a technical expert in the design, construction, safety, verification, and startup of facilities for cell and gene therapy capital construction projects. You will develop and implement project-specific construction approaches in alignment with global and regional strategies, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of complex projects such as manufacturing sites, warehouses, office buildings, and laboratories.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expertise throughout the execution of assigned capital construction projects, ensuring alignment with client strategies. Develop and implement construction approaches tailored to each project. Facilitate safe building design and construction, protecting contractors and ensuring compliance with all safety standards. Collaborate with project leaders and cross-functional teams to select and qualify external construction partners. Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and programs related to construction safety, quality, and performance. Track and report on goals, KPIs, and project progress. Conduct regular assessments and reviews, identifying areas for improvement and leading the development of action plans. Support contract development and negotiations, schedule adherence, and change order management. Drive continuous improvement by capturing and leveraging lessons learned. Develop and deliver construction management communications, and participate in management and project meetings. Provide technical solutions and cost-effective strategies across all functional project areas.Profile Requirements:
Education:
University/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required. Degree in Science, Engineering, Architecture, or a related Construction Management field is highly desirable.Experience and Skills:
8-10 years of progressive experience in Construction Management. Demonstrated expertise in identifying, mitigating, and controlling risks in capital construction projects. Strong understanding of contract development, enforcement, and negotiations. Experience managing construction labor forces and field activities. Proven track record in construction safety, quality, cost, and schedule management. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.Preferred:
