We recognize the importance of creating a work environment that is both rewarding to our employees and supportive of our unwavering commitment to provide unparalleled service to our clients. **Purpose** Supervise and be responsible to assist in the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of construction engineering and management operations and performance at a pacific northwest regional level. **Responsibilities** **Leadership and Direction** + Receive broad guidance from corporate leadership relating to overall key objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters and general parameters for execution of construction engineering and management services. + Assist in the oversight and direction on department and/or business unit including strategy, budgeting, staff, and deliverables. + Effectively communicate corporate goals, philosophy and culture. + Assist in the development of near/long-term goals and strategies for growth of construction engineering and management services related to transportation improvements for public clients in the pacific northwest. + Assist in the management of construction engineering staff and processes to ensure effective execution of these services. + Review work produced by staff for quality assurance, as assigned. **At the Operational and Company Level** + Actively participate in decision-making processes by evaluating and communicating the impact of operational decisions and business opportunities with respect to regional construction engineering and management operations for transportation improvements. + Assist in the management of all financial aspects of construction engineering and management project performance such as profit/loss/budgets. + Market the firm’s capabilities to establish new public clients and enhance relationships, with a focus on construction engineering and management. + Work cooperatively with leadership of other business units and branch offices with respect to pursuits and opportunities for construction engineering & management services and cross selling of services. **Do the Work** + Coordinate the planning and execution of day-to-day operations managing proposals, work-in-process, billings, and outstanding accounts receivable collection efforts as related to construction engineering and management projects, as assigned. + Establish new clients as well as maintain healthy client relationships and possess solid operational insight for driving projects and executing deliverables. + Develop trusted adviser relationships with customers and vendors. + Monitor and manage work-in-process, billings, and outstanding accounts receivable collection efforts, as assigned. + Assist in overseeing recruitment, development, and management of professional, technical, and administrative personnel in support of construction engineering and management operations for the region. + Drive projects and execute deliverables with the sense of urgency clients expect. + Effectively market, manage and execute construction engineering and management projects for public clients at the state and local/municipality level. **Success Metrics and Competencies** + Commitment to working in partnership with others inside and outside the organization. + High degree of discretion and ability to manage highly confidential information + Proven track record of innovation, leadership and creativity. + Highly motivated and problem-solving attitude. + Strong sense of urgency in responding to clients. + Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. + Strong work ethic and commitment to quality. + Strong marketing/business development skills and mindset. + Ability to lead project meetings and deliver client presentations. + Ability to work effectively with internal leaders and peers, as well as external clients. + Commitment to promoting the reputation of the company through quality of work. + Commitment to driving profitability and growth. + Ability to effectively manage multiple time-sensitive tasks. + Focus on improving return on investment. + Basic understanding of financial reports and metrics. + Data analysis and interpretation skills. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management. + Minimum of ten (10+) years’ relevant experience in the AEC industry including at least three (3+) years’ experience in a management capacity. + Registered Professional Engineer required. + Diverse experience in construction engineering and management services performed on transportation projects for public clients at the State and Local agency levels. + Strong knowledge of state and local/municipal codes, standards, and practices. + Established relationships with surrounding localities and agencies. + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). + Proficient in video conferencing tools. **About Bowman** Are you ready to build a career that makes a lasting impact?
