Job Title: Construction Inspector

Job Description

We are seeking a Construction Inspector for a 3-4 month water transmission main installation project in Boone County, KY. The Construction Inspector will provide oversight of contractors and construction activities related to the installation of underground utilities. They will ensure that construction work matches the construction plans and identify any deficiencies. The role involves documenting daily activities on-site through written notes, photos, and daily reports to be submitted.

Please note, this is a contract (W-2) project-based opportunity that is not expected to be a long-term opportunity past the completion of this project.

ResponsibilitiesObserve daily construction activities to ensure proper installation of pipes, valves, fittings, and appurtenances.Confirm materials meet project specifications, including pipe type, diameter, and pressure rating.Check for proper alignment, jointing, and anchoring of pipes during installation.Document daily activities through written notes, photos, and daily reports.Participate in final walkthroughs and prepare as-built documentation.Essential SkillsExperience in construction inspection is required, preferably with water main installation. Candidates with inspection experience for related underground utility projects will be considered. High school diploma.Ability to communicate effectively with internal staff, contractors, and other stakeholders.Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products.Additional Skills & QualificationsWater transmission main construction experience is strongly preferred.NICET, ACI, OSHA or other relevant certifications are preferred but not required.Work Environment

This role requires being on-site 100% of the time, working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
