ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering contract proposals and tenders to clients on time and in line with our estimating procedures.

 

You’ll ensure contract requirements and objectives are met using cost-effective and competitive approaches.

 

You’ll be supporting construction and capital works for clients such as Whangarei District Council and the Far North District Council, and various private sector partners.

 

Key responsibilities

Plan, manage, and prepare tender bids Ensure commercial outcomes align with client KPIs Get involved in tender negotiations and client communications Support project managers with estimating and programming works Conduct occasional site visits Collaborate with a supportive, high-performing team.

 

ABOUT YOU

You’ll bring proven experience in civil construction, estimating, ideally focused on roading projects, and a solid understanding of New Zealand’s transport infrastructure.

 

You’re confident using, or willing to learn the CATS estimating software and are comfortable preparing project programs in MS Project.

 

With a background in quantity surveying or civil engineering, and ideally some project management experience, you’re highly organised, deadline-driven, and a strong team player who takes pride in delivering high quality work.
