The **Corpus Christi - Site Construction Manager** shall plan, develop, and organize the construction efforts to formulate the most cost-effective plan to timely completion of cost and capital projects within budget and to implement the execution of that plan. Make decisions and take action based on professional methods and business principles. The opportunity will be based at our Chemours facility in **Ingleside, TX** just outside of Corpus Christi, TX. **The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:** + Overall responsible for construction of all Capital Projects with limited review for Cost COD Requests and Field IFCs. + Attend Project Design meetings to ensure constructability input throughout all phases of the project. + Help develop and drive a timely execution of project work from start to finish. + Set contracting strategy including the selection of contractors, safety expectations, and development of integrated project schedules. Lead the planning and coordination of the construction/installation of all phases of the construction. + Work with TAR Leader to identify synergies for Turnaround Projects to minimize execution window and cost. + Ensure consistency in building construction and implementation activities. + Implement the scope of work as related to construction/ fabrication, pre-commissioning, load-out and commissioning of the facilities in conformance with project specifications, scope of work, and in accordance with the approved Project Schedule. + Collaborate with design professionals during concept design, construction drawing preparation and construction phases of each project. + Manage the approved field materials and construction budgets for each project, including supplies, materials, and labor. + Manage job sites for all capital construction projects. Ensure safety guidelines are followed on all job sites. + Review schedules and duration forecasts to completion. + Monitor contractor performance and follow standard procedures if performance falls below expected levels, investigate reasons for less than satisfactory performance. Provide recommendations and institute measures for improvement by modification to operating procedures/work instructions. + Provide advice on potential risks associated with certain construction measures to avoid construction delays and increased costs. + Help improve the review/approval of contractor timesheets to include daily foreman logs. + Act as liaison between Project Group, Operations, TAR Leader, Maintenance, and contractors. + Ensure field change requests that may be needed, per site procedures, are issued, tracked and communicated to the Project Manager for budget or schedule impacts. + Ensure site QA/QC requirements are met for capital projects. + Develop and ensure completion of final walk-through items prior to PSSR (Pre-Safety Startup Review). + Coordinate timing of and participate in PSSR with the Project Manager, Technology, Maintenance, and Operations. + Ensure contractor QC documentation is given to site Mechanical Integrity Quality Assurance (MIQA) for inclusion in inspection files. **Required Qualifications and Characteristics:** + High School Diploma or Equivalent. + 5+ years of experience in construction or project execution in the Chemicals and Refining Industry. + Proficiency in work order planning, material procurement. + Proficiency in the use of SAP. + Proficient in reviewing and developing Bill of Material (BOM) for field installations of mechanical and instrument/electrical equipment. + Ability to lead/influence a team to a desired outcome. + Self-motivated and capable of completing assignments with minimal guidance. + Organized, ambitious with the ability to drive work effectively in an expedited time frame. + Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. + Willing and able to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment) such as steel toes, hard hat, Nomex, eye protection, respirators, etc. + Willing and able to work at elevated heights. **Benefits:** Competitive Compensation Comprehensive Benefits Packages 401(k) Match Employee Stock Purchase Program Tuition Reimbursement Commuter Benefits Learning and Development Opportunities Strong Inclusion and Diversity Initiatives Company-paid Volunteer Day We’re a different kind of chemistry company because we see our people as our biggest assets.
