Our client is looking for a Construction Coordinator for a 12 month contract.
Duties & Responsibilities Provide inspection services and maintain detailed notes as required. Lead, coach, and mentor the inspection team to ensure high performance and adherence to standards. Review new OTC/OTP drawings both on paper and in the field, including running lines, tie-ins, fittings, and note-keeping space. Verify proposed designs against pre-engineered locates and existing site conditions. Ensure compliance with all internal company policies, external regulatory requirements, and municipal standards. Engage internal and external stakeholders as needed throughout the project lifecycle. Participate in comprehensive design, constructability, operability reviews, and project risk assessments. Assist in developing and implementing strategies to address challenges, including assessing cost, schedule, and quality impacts of additional project measures. Provide project management support for complex planning initiatives from initiation to completion. Responsibilities include: Supporting cost estimation and financial tracking to maintain budget accuracy. Assisting with procurement, contractor selection, tendering, and legal agreements. Supporting construction execution and managing field changes as required. Build and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, independently resolving project-level issues and challenges. Lead construction activities related to testing, tie-ins, and commissioning plans. Facilitate required resources, approvals, and EGI work permits. Support the construction lead in resolving technical issues during construction by interpreting design specifications, construction plans, logistics, and schedules. Ensure timely delivery of project plans to the EGI Project Execution group, recognizing the critical importance of meeting deadlines to avoid impacts such as builder warranty penalties, regulatory non-compliance, legal issues, and brand reputation risks. Support project execution teams during the construction and start-up phases, including obtaining additional approvals and managing internal/external communications. Develop and maintain customer service installation schedules, liaise directly with contractors, and coordinate with the Community Expansion Attachment Lead on scheduled activities. Provide direction, leadership, and on-site support to Enbridge inspectors. Short and long-term travel is required for this role. Must-Have Qualifications Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. Proven ability to build effective working relationships with peers and both internal and external stakeholders. Strong results orientation with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. Up to 4 years of experience in inspection, operations, or engineering environments. Proficiency in various computer programs, including MS Office, MicroStation, and/or AutoCAD. Working knowledge of Maximo, e-GIS, and planning and records systems is an asset. Job shadowing, cross-training, or work experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: Construction, M&R, Corrosion, Leak Survey, Engineering, AR&I. Strong business, industrial, and company knowledge is essential to perform design analysis with a clear understanding of capital impacts, Codes, Standards, and applicable regulations. GPI certification is required. Valid G-Class Driver’s License. Nice-to-Have Qualifications Project Management certification or equivalent project management experience. Strong understanding of Planning, Design & Records, Operations & Maintenance, and Construction policies and procedures. #LI-LM1
