Job Description

AECOM has an immediate need for a Construction Close-out and Warranty Specialist to support the Tyndall, AFB Resident Office at Tyndall AFB near Panama City, Florida. This position will involve the management and coordination of construction close-outs including warranties, guarantees. Responsibilities also including collecting documents, checking specifications, warranty documents to confirm fulfillment of contractor obligations as set forth in drawings for all MILCOM projects at Tyndall AFB associated with the “Installation of the future.”

Job Details                                                                             

Review of submittals and schedules.Provide oversight of the contractor to ensure compliance with contract requirements and standards.  Include evaluation of level of inspection, testing procedures and results, documentation of deficiency correction, etc. in accordance with the USACE 3-Phase inspection programReview of project Warranty issues to ensure project compliance with NOA/Florida Product Approval compliance.Participate in technical review of development plans to ensure conformity to USACE standards and specificationsAttend and participate in construction progress meetingEnsure that safety and local regulations were considered and followed during the construction of utility equipment  Attend contractor's major project meetings

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

HS + 10 Years of relevant construction experience to include some quality Assurance and inspection or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work and walk in indoor/outdoor environments with uneven terrain and variable conditions including dusts. The overall physical demands of this position are sedentary. Position requires occasionally (10-25% of workday) standing/walking and performing keyboard/mouse operations; rarely (less than 10% of workday) performing repetitive bending/stooping, climbing stairs, and performing repetitive or fine hand movements. Position will include wearing associated personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to safety glasses/goggles, safety shoes/boots, and hard hat. 

Preferred Requirements

10 years of construction experience in quality assurance and inspection of construction with a minimum of 5 years of specialized experience in the various general disciplines involved in the masonry construction of facilities at a large military installation.Effective oral and written communication skillsAttention to detailWorking knowledge of RMSKnowledge of the USACE Three Phase Inspection ProcessKnowledge of EM 385-1 Safety Requirements
