What you'll do:

In the capacity of Construction Associate, you will:

Oversee a diverse portfolio of construction professional indemnity claims, including those involving intricate coverage issues and multifaceted liability considerations. Provide timely and meticulously prepared legal advice and representation to clients, consistently adhering to agreed service standards and best practices. Support the broader team in cultivating enduring client relationships by establishing trust and engaging confidently to secure optimal outcomes. Contribute meaningfully to business development initiatives and participate in client events as required, thereby enhancing the team's market presence. Offer guidance on related matters such as adjudication, disciplinary proceedings, arbitration, and risk management for construction professionals. Advise insurers on policy coverage aspects of claims whilst also acting directly for prominent professional services firms when appropriate. Assist in the collection and collation of essential Management Information in accordance with established protocols for clients. Collaborate closely with colleagues to improve team processes, procedures, and overall service delivery through knowledge sharing and mutual support. Demonstrate adaptability in response to evolving priorities within the caseload or team environment, maintaining flexibility as circumstances require. Uphold exemplary standards of professionalism by exercising excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail throughout all responsibilities.

What you bring:

To excel as a Construction Associate within this esteemed practice group, you will bring:

Qualified solicitor possessing 1-4 years post-qualification experience or equivalent relevant expertise acquired within construction litigation or allied disciplines. Comprehensive experience managing construction disputes or professional indemnity claims; prior insurance sector exposure is advantageous though not indispensable. Demonstrated ability to operate efficiently within commercial parameters whilst appreciating the importance of financial discipline in legal practice. Thorough understanding of legal procedures pertinent to construction litigation and dispute resolution mechanisms. Exceptional attention to detail coupled with superior organisational capabilities that ensure effective management of cases from inception through conclusion. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills enabling clear articulation of complex information and rapport-building with clients. Proven ability to adjust plans responsively according to changing priorities or evolving client requirements within a collaborative team setting. Dedication to contributing positively within a supportive firm culture that prizes collaboration, inclusivity, and collective achievement. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications facilitating efficient document preparation and data management.
