This role is within the EDS segment, and you will be joining that segment as it becomes its own entity, with a rich heritage and proven track record as a global leader in low and high voltage power and signal distribution systems. Summary

The Technical Accounting and Reporting Manager is a senior-level accounting professional responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Company’s corporate accounting and financial reporting functions, including quarterly and annual SEC filings. They ensure compliance with accounting standards, manage accounting operations and systems, and lead the corporate accounting team.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

Ensure NA US GAAP finance records are maintained in timely, accurate, consistent and complete fashionManage financial analysis of NA EDS trial balances to ensure compliance with Aptiv accounting policy and integrity of account balancesCoordinate detailed reviews of NA EDS trial balances on a regular basis, looking for consistency across the region/globe and identifying areas for process improvementsComplete analysis of trial balances during regional sub-consolidationReview and analyze complex accounting matters, working with business teams, other Regional Controllers, Segment Controller and Corporate Technical AccountingWrite regional technical accounting memos, identify post-closing adjustments and out-of period adjustmentsPerform and review journal vouchers and account reconciliations for high visibility account transactionsSupport plant activity for general accounting, as requiredCoordinate with internal and external audit teamsCoordinate/complete SOX requirements working with Internal Controls OrganizationPromote continuing education in regional accounting environment

Experience

5 years of experience in a similar positionCPA or equivalentRelevant experience with SAP and HFM financial systemsDemonstrates high level of leadership ability, including the ability to work with diverse groupsAbility to analyze information and decide course of action, strong analytical skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to travel within North America as needed
