About the Role

New opportunity within our large Engineering organisation for a Test Engineer as part of a new opening position in the Connectivity Test Center. This role will be part of a new team based in Bucharest, which will work closely with the wider team. This is a newly formed team. Our goal is to build out our Connectivity Test Coordinating team operating from our strategic site in Bucharest, providing experienced and dynamic team members to support multiple roles across our portfolio of global projects. This is an exciting time to get involved, to help develop and shape innovative technology and drive change throughout the organisation.


What You Will Do

Identify and log SW defects on the platform through Structured, Exploratory, and Regression TestingReview, Analysis, and test case creationTest case maintenance in compliance with software evolution, requirements, and traceability trackingDetailed analysis of reported problems, bug analysis, bug verification, and tracking. Perform regular reviews and conduct retrospection meetings to achieve high-quality resultsIndependently handle both Vehicle testing and bench testing requestsCollaborate with various test teams to improvise and evolve existing test strategiesIdentify, plan, and perform manual and automated software testing. Perform session-based exploratory testing.Identify, plan, and perform endurance-based testing or life testing to verify functionality over a long period of ignition cycles.Identify software issues and transfer problem issues into the issue tracking system with supporting log files and dataRecord, process, and analyse data with PC-based tools and test instrumentationParticipate in internal and customer test drives. Provide technical support for the resolution of various customer and interdepartmental issues on an as-needed basisParticipation in internal and external test drives with customer participation

What You Need to Be Successful

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other similar specialisation 7+ years of Testing experienceGood understanding of Embedded Systems and Automotive Products.Good understanding of Automotive Infotainment systemsUnderstand the SW and HW architecture of various platform variants.Have a good understanding of the technical aspects of a wide range of equipment, including computers, software, and hardwareGood knowledge and understanding of the different Telematics domains like OTA, GNSS, E-Call, Positioning, 4G/5G, WifiGood knowledge of Diagnose protocols UDS, SOVDGood experience in system test methods, processes, error management and toolsFamiliar with Jira, Confluence, MS Office, and database administration toolsKnowledge of standard industry communication protocols: CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etcTeam player skills with a “can-do” attitudeUnderstanding about diagnosis topics of a vehicle and about diagnostic communication protocols used in electronic control unitsKnowledge of the V-model software development processISTQB Certification and ASPICE knowledgeProgramming knowledge is a plus

Bonus Points if You Have

Working knowledge of Android and LinuxExperience in Agile/SCRUMHW experience with configuring different setupsKnowledge in ALM is beneficial.Experience in Python testing
