**Overview**
The Strategist, Connections Strategy provides cross-channel, data-driven marketing strategy development to reach our clients’ key audiences. This role is responsible for helping to craft ongoing program and campaign strategies and assist in discovering opportunities for the client’s direct digital marketing programs. These programs will support complete customer lifecycles: pre-purchase to post-purchase to ongoing engagement and loyalty.
The Strategist will support building impactful consumer engagement strategies across addressable and owned channels, including email, push notifications, direct messaging, and more. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing data-driven CRM strategies that drive customer engagement, retention, and long-term loyalty. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with strong analytical skills, a passion for customer-centric marketing, and hands-on experience in managing multichannel CRM campaigns.
**Responsibilities**
+ **CRM Strategy Development** : Design and implement comprehensive CRM strategies across owned channels (email, SMS, push notifications, in-app messaging, etc.) that drive customer engagement, conversion, and retention.
+ **Consumer Engagement** : Build and optimize personalized communication journeys for customers based on lifecycle stages, behaviors, preferences, and transaction history.
+ **Segmentation & Targeting** : Develop and manage customer segmentation strategies to ensure relevant, targeted messaging to different customer segments.
+ **Personalization** : Leverage customer data to create personalized experiences that resonate with customers, driving greater interaction and brand loyalty.
+ **A/B Testing & Optimization** : Conduct A/B tests and other experimentation to continually improve campaign performance and customer engagement metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversions, etc.).
+ **Cross-Channel Coordination** : Work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, creative, data, product) to ensure campaign alignment across all channels, maintaining a consistent brand voice and message.
+ **Data Analysis & Reporting** : Analyze campaign performance using CRM analytics tools, making data-driven decisions to optimize campaigns and customer engagement strategies.
+ **Automation & Workflow Management** : Develop and implement marketing automation workflows to streamline campaign delivery, ensuring timely, relevant messages are sent to the right customers at the right time.
+ **Customer Insights:** Utilize customer insights and behavioral data to continuously refine targeting strategies and improve the customer experience.
**Qualifications**
+ 3+ years developing owned-channel marketing programs (including email, push, direct messaging, and other owned channels) at an agency, consultancy or within a marketing department
+ Familiarity with all addressable/owned channels and programs, including email, push, SMS, web personalization, direct mail
+ Mining of an audience database for insights to drive database growth
+ Familiarity with deploying and managing automated direct marketing platforms/solutions Proficient in CRM and marketing automation platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Klaviyo, Iterable, etc.).
+ Self-starter with the ability to pick up a project and move it forward with direction from the team and clients
+ Collaborate cross-functionally in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
+ Write insightful creative briefs and help steward the creative process
+ Originate and edit presentations to create excitement and sell ideas
+ Conversant in performance analysis, test design, data actionability and their impact on marketing activation across channels
+ Comfortable operating in an ambiguous and dynamic environment

Compensation Range: $70,000 - $92,295 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
