Who We Need on Our Team

As a Configuration Engineer you will be a part of the Analytics team, responsible for the design and production of one of EXP.O NOW's key functional areas. The Analytics team is focused on the launch of a modern cloud-based business intelligence solution leveraging Microsoft Power BI embedded in the EXP.O NOW platform, providing insights that empower customers to manage their supply-chain more effectively.

You will be a go-getter who is constantly on the lookout for opportunities to improve our infrastructure. You will take pride in delivering excellent customer service and collaborate well amongst multiple teams in an Agile environment. As part of our team you will contribute to continuous improvement, demonstrating DevOps-in-practice and a relentless pursuit of automation and security.

Primary Responsibilities:

CI/CD Pipeline Management:Design, implement, and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines.Leverage modular, reusable CI/CD pipeline templates and components to automate testing, building, and deployment processes.Infrastructure as Code (IaC):Use Terraform to manage infrastructure.Ensure infrastructure is version-controlled and reproducible.Cloud Infrastructure Management:Deploy and manage applications in Azure cloud environments.Work with developers and architects to optimize cloud resource usage for performance and cost.Monitoring and Logging:Set up and maintain monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor).Collaborate with developers to ensure systems are observable and issues are detected early.Security and Compliance:Implement security best practices in CI/CD and infrastructure, including mechanisms for auditability and visibility.Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards (e.g., SOC2).Documentation:Maintain clear documentation in markdown format for systems, processes, and tools.Maintain stakeholder facing documentation (e.g., release notes, spike outcomes) in SharePoint.

This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of experience in a DevOps or related roleStrong experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD and GitHub ActionsProficiency with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes basics)Hands-on experience with Terraform, specifically Azure infrastructureSolid understanding of application deployment and build tools: Java (e.g., Maven) NodeJS/Angular Experience with Microsoft Azure, with a particular focus on networkingFamiliarity with Linux-based systems and shell scriptingStrong Git skills and experience with version control workflows Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience automating complex release processes across multiple environments Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor) Experience with Secrets Management (e.g., Azure Key Vault, Keeper) Exposure to hybrid or Cloud-First environments Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams Familiarity with SAFe Agile practices Skill in training, mentoring and sharing knowledge in both individual and group settingsSkills in debugging system level issues in either Unix or LinuxExperience mentoring, coaching, or leading workshops on DevOps best practicesExperience implementing and maintaining CI/CD and infrastructure metrics that provide visibility into CI/CD performance, deployment activity, and infrastructure health and security

Additional Information

Expected base salary:  $100,000 to $145,000
