Key Role:

Lead the planning, implementation, and maintenance of software configuration management process across multiple development teams and product baselines. Establish and enforce version control strategies, including branching, tagging, and release practices. Maintain and evolve baseline tracking, including documenting changes, managing builds, and ensuring traceability of requirements to code and documentation. Work with development teams and Cybersecurity team to consolidate hardware and software inventories, coordinate change control boards (CCBs), and maintain accurate configuration records. Support integration of configuration management tools with issue tracking systems, build automation tools, and release management workflow. Mentor junior engineers on best practices for configuration control, source management, and build integrity. Lead and assist the team in audits and reviews to demonstrate compliance with program-level configuration management policies and standards such as CMMI, ISO, or DoD standards

Basic Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in software engineering5+ years of experience with software configuration managementExperience managing multiple concurrent software baselines in a collaborative development environmentExperience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bamboo, or Azure DevOpsExperience working with CM tools such as Rational ClearCase, Aras Innovator, Polarion, IBM ELM, or Jira with AssetsKnowledge of version control systems such as Git, Subversion, or PerforceKnowledge of software lifecycle models and engineering documentation standardsTS/SCI clearance with a polygraphBachelor’s degree in CS, Software Engineering, or a technology field

Additional Qualifications:

Experience supporting defense or government programsExperience with DevSecOps practices, build automation, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) a plusExperience with product lifecycle management (PLM) and integration with HW configuration management processKnowledge of DoD CM standards such as MIL-STD-973 or MIL-HDBK-61AKnowledge of agile development Frameworks, including SAFe or Scrum, and managing CM in agile environments

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
