CONFIDENTIAL SEARCH. We are seeking an experienced Lead Project Manager to guide the strategic restructuring and rollout of a newly established Project Management Office (PMO). This role will be instrumental in shaping governance frameworks, optimizing delivery processes, and aligning project execution with organizational goals. The Project Management Lead will serve as a strategic advisor and hands-on leader, overseeing the performance and development of the PM team, collaborating with leadership, and operationalizing PMO best practices in partnership with the PMO Director.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Planning and Governance: Design and inform PMO governance frameworks, drive strategic planning and ensure alignment with enterprise objectives.
• Resource Capacity Management: In partnership with the Evergreen delivery team and internal stakeholders, the project management lead with help to forecast and balance project management demand against capacity, proactively plan for resource needs and inform internal stakeholders and Evergreen of recommendations to scale support as required.
• Team Deployment and Oversight: Lead, mentor and develop project managers, oversee the team, in partnership with the Evergreen Program Manager, to ensure continuity in delivery.
• Performance Management and Continuous Improvement: responsible for driving and supporting the delivery of key outcomes across the PMO, ensuring that all project management activities are aligned with organizational goals and best practices.
• Business Engagement and Intake Process: Act as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders, manage expectations, and develop standardized intake and engagement processes.
• Enterprise Roadmap and Strategic Advisory: Provide thought leadership and consultative guidance on enterprise roadmap development, collaborate with the PMO Director to capture and share strategic priorities.
• Business Case Development and Governance: Standardize business case templates, establish review cadences, and ensure governance aligns with enterprise goals
• Process Optimization: Continuously improve PMO processes, integrate industry best practices, and scale operational capacity.
• Reporting and Communication: In partnership with Evergreen delivery, monitor and report project delivery and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, managing their expectations and ensuring their satisfaction with the services provided.
• In times of capacity constraints within the Project Management team, the Project Management Lead will proactively step in to provide hands-on support for project delivery, ensuring continuity and maintaining momentum across critical initiatives.
• Monitor and report on the performance of service delivery, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Skills and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Information Technology, or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of project management experience, with proven leadership in enterprise-level initiatives and PMO environments
• Demonstrated success in standing up or restructuring a PMO, including governance design and process optimization
• PMP, Agile, or equivalent certification
• Strong strategic planning and advisory skills, with experience influencing executive stakeholders
• Expertise in resource capacity planning, team deployment, and performance oversight
• Proven experience in service/program delivery management, successfully delivering complex projects.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a track record of delivering complex programs on time and within budget
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams. • Transportation Industry
• Experience with Planview/Daptiv
• Knowledge of ITIL and other relevant frameworks for service delivery management null
