A vacancy for the position of Conference and Events Executive has arisen within the Conference & Events team.
The role entails:
Logistics and handling of events
Liaising with clients/ group organisers to make necessary arrangements for events
Building and maintaining good relationships with clients
Working with hotel departments to ensure a smooth operation during events
Timely organisation and distribution of all administrative documents
Carrying out hotel show rounds
Seeking opportunities to increase sales and conversions within the team
Focus on a consistently executed up-selling approach
Participate in hotel promotional activities
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a team member with an operational or sales experience. In addition, the applicant must have strong leadership skills, the ability to work well with the operations team and build strong relationships with people and also a pro-active person who can think of innovative ways of attracting new business to the hotel. Knowledge of the hotel operation and food and beverage is also necessary in order to ensure excellent execution of the events being taken care of.
Fluency in both written and spoken English is required whilst good knowledge of Maltese and another language will be considered an asset.
