Overview Concrete Finisher Wage: $30-$38 Description The Concrete Finisher smooths and finishes freshly poured concrete and applies surface treatments to various concrete structures such as floors, sidewalks, curbing, and roads. Job Responsibilities + Spread, level, and smooth concrete, using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, and float. + Read and interpret plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activities. + Measure, mark, and record openings and distances to lay out areas where construction work will be performed. + Set concrete forms . + Clean and prepare construction site to eliminate possible hazards. + Direct the casting of the concrete with the truck driver. + Cut expansion joints using joiners and edging tools . + Patch existing surfaces . + Monitor the curing of concrete to ensure a high-quality finish . + Maintain safe work environment . + Other Duties as assigned .
