Working within the Industrial Quality Solutions (IQS) department, at ZEISS, we are looking for a highly motivated Computer Vision & AI Engineer to work within our teams.
Job description/Your role:
Join our agile teams dedicated to advancing the ZEISS Inspect software.
In this role, you will be integral to our software teams, enhancing our products with cutting edge computer vision and AI capabilities.
Here’s what you can expect:
Implement innovative AI-based workflows to advance optical and tactile measuring technologies
Play a significant role in development for training and applying deep learning methods within our software portfolio
Take care of various aspects of software development including researching current solutions, drafting technical specification, developing concepts, designing, implementing, and sharing the knowledge with team members
Collaborate with a multi-national team of software, application and hardware experts
What we expect from you:
A completed degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering or related field, with a focus on 2D/3D image processing (Computer Vision, Machine Learning) or an equivalent qualification
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development with Python and modern C++
Proven professional experience with common deep learning frameworks, with a preference for PyTorch
Strong communication skills, an end-user oriented mindset, team spirit and an action-oriented, self-reliant and organized approach to work
Very good proficiency in English language, both spoken and written
Willingness to undertake occasional business trips between our offices in Poland and Germany
Additional advantage will be:A focus on writing efficient and performant code, particularly with experience in ONNX and TensorRT deployments using parallel computing concepts
Experience in desktop application development
Experience in deploying containerized applications
Understanding of Clean Code guidelines and best practices
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket or similar platforms.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
Basic knowledge of metrology
