Job Details:
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for data collection and electronic communications throughout the entire facility including: network devices such as switches, routers, PC's, and servers; telephone systems, wireless AP's and RF terminals; maintaining and updating databases for labelers, printers, scales, metal detectors, packaging and other production equipment in a 24/7 operating environment; troubleshooting and repair of automated systems as required; must be able to plan and complete projects in a timely and cost effective matter in response to internal customer requests; responsible for training and providing support to end users; and additional responsibilities as directed by supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Education beyond High School, including specialized training, vocational school and or college courses.
Experience: Three+ years background in data communications including: servers, RS 232, RS 422 and RS 485 communication standards, SQL databases and personal computers; Visual Basic experience preferred.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills; strong in training capabilities.
Computer Skills: Maintain servers running Windows NT, 2000, and XP; expert in PC end user support and repair.
Travel: 1 to 5 times a year.
