Job Description:

Parsons is seeking an exceptional Computer Systems Engineer/Architect to provide a variety of technical contributions at the US Cyber Command’s Cyber Immersion Laboratory (CIL).  In this position you will get to bring your high-level technical, and leadership, skills to bear on a critical national security mission.

What you’ll be doing:

Implement, Maintain, and Troubleshoot Infrastructure-As-Code for Automated Deployment and Maintenance of Systems

Perform System-hardening in compliance with DoD and FIPS security requirements

Create script-based automation of regular administrative tasks using Python/Ansible/Powershell/etc 

PXE/UEFI and System deployment (e.g. Anaconda kickstart, cloud-init, The Foreman, etc)

System Configuration and Policy enforcement using automation utilities (Puppet/Salt/Ansible/AD Group Policies/etc)

Implement, Maintain, and Manage User access and utilization of containers in an Orchestration and Deployment Platform (Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, etc)

Implement, Maintain, and Manage User access and utilization of Virtualized Machines

Support and maintenance of hybrid environments utilizing multiple Operating Systems (GNU Linux [RHEL Based/Debian Based], Windows Server, BSD Based)

Develop and Maintain Dataflow and Systems utilizing the technology stack of Apache NiFi, SQL, noSQL, Rest APIs, LDAP, and S3-Compatible Object Storage

Develop and Maintain Backup systems utilizing S3-Compatible Object Storage

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Active TS/SCI w/poly security clearance

Experience working with personnel at all levels in a multi-stakeholder environment

Administration of various Unix systems (Red Hat, Oracle, Rocky, etc.). 

Scripting and automation experience in modern languages such as Python, Ruby, Rust, JavaScript, PowerShell, Bash among others. 

Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field preferred (Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, etc.) or equivalent experience

5+ years of relevant experience

Familiarity with virtual environments or cloud environments.

Problem resolution using engineering skills.

Experienced with Docker and Kubernetes, including container orchestration and deployment practices.

Ability to work with and configure CI/CD pipelines that leverage repositories. 

Experience with configuring and managing proxy servers (Nginx, Squid, etc…).

Ability to document capabilities they’ve created.

Familiarity with the innerworkings of software repository creation and management.

Familiarity with system security, patch management, configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet), and an understanding of basic networking principles. 

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring: 

Administration of various Unix systems (Red Hat, Oracle, Rocky, etc.)

Proficiency in Virtualized and Containerized environments

Administration of SQL and noSQL databases

Scripting and automation experience in programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Rust, JavaScript, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible

Experienced with Container Orchestration and Deployment (Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher)

Ability to work with and configure CI/CD pipelines that leverage repositories. 

Experience with configuring and managing web and proxy servers (Nginx, Squid, etc…)

Proficiency in Regular Expressions

Proficiency in Configuration Management Systems (i.e. git)

Proficiency in Developing and Maintaining online documentation (i.e. Wiki) for existing and new capabilities developed

 Knowledge in Software Repository Hosting: creation, maintenance, and mirroring utilities (gpgkeys, rsync, reposync, debmirror, SonaType Nexus)

Familiarity with system security, patch management, configuration management tools (e.g., SCCM, Ansible, Puppet, Salt)

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required to apply, however, the selected candidate must be able to obtain a Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph clearance prior to the start date.

Salary Range: $100,900.00 - $176,600.00
