Position OverviewQinetiQ US is seeking an experienced Computer Scientist – Software Analysis - Mid to join our team supporting our Government Client in Reston, VA.
Responsibilities Recommend software upgrades to existing systems and/or present newly available options which may better meet the needs of our organizationCode web of front-end user interfaces in in Jscript Frameworks, CSS, and HTMLCode graphical user interfaces in compiled languages such as Golang, C++, or JavaCode Application Programming Interfaces or Microservices connecting front end and back end componentsConfigure back end databases such as SQL or PostgreSQL databasesDevelop repeatable processes and clearly communicate ideas and expectationsExpand existing software to meet the changing needs of key demographicsIdentify, research, and present new solutions to old problems as technology and opportunity ariseDevelop a new software product from the ground up, while working closely with stakeholdersCreate fault-tolerant programming and a thorough QC processWrite tests for both existing and created code to ensure compatibility and stabilityMaintain code repositories in GITLAB using AGILE continuous integration / continuous development Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or information technology4 years of software development or programming experience in full stack developmentFull stack development – Golang, Python, C++, JavaScript, Java, and other programming languagesAbility to code front end web interfaces and back end services such as internal and external application programming interfaces (APIs), databases, and microservicesExperience implementing and managing PKI for authentication and authorizationIn-depth understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and CMSsWorking knowledge of SQL or PosgreSQL databasesExperience managing Linux and Windows servers hosted on VMWare ESXi hypervisor and cloud infrastructureBasic knowledge of computer networkingData analysis (modeling, visualization, processing) and high-performance computingFamiliar with AGILE continuous integration / continuous development processFamiliar with GITLAB or GITHUBCurrent TS/SCI Clearance with CI poly, or ability to obtain poly prior to start date #qinetiqclearedjobSuccessful Completion of Pre-Employment Background Investigation required Company EEO Statement
