The Department of Computer Science has approximately 1200 undergraduate majors (on campus and online) and 190 graduate students in our masters and Ph.D. programs. The department’s 26 tenured/tenure-track faculty conduct state-of-the-art research in topics including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, distributed systems, and parallel and scientific computing, and engage in interdisciplinary research across the university. Tenure/Tenure Track? % Research % Teaching100 % Service % Administration To ensure full consideration, applications must be received by 11:59pm (MT) on06/30/2026 Number of Vacancies Desired Start Date Position End Date Position Summary The Department of Computer Science at CSU seeks an instructor to teach 100-, 200- and 300-level computer science courses during the 2025-2026 academic year. The position’s normal workload is teaching up to 3 established courses per semester. The instructor is expected to adapt course materials to best fit their teaching style without altering core content. The instructor will lecture, conduct office hours, administer exams and quizzes, develop assignments, and establish and apply grading rubrics (either directly grading or with the help of undergraduate teaching assistants (UTAs) that the instructor supervises). This is a non-tenure track position and an annual appointment, which may be renewed based on performance and projected course demand. Instructors must hold a Masters of Science degree (or higher) in computer science or a closely related field by the start of the assignment.
