My client is expanding and seeks a Computational Biology Associate to take on the following tasks:

·        Design and execute computational analyses of NGS and microscopy experiments.  ·        Partner with experimental and computational scientists and help develop and implement new experimental and analytical workflows.  ·        Assist in the lab work including sample preparation, microscopy, and NGS library preparation. ·        Help scientists with workflow and analysis code for quantitative single molecule localization microscopy. ·        Collaborate with scientists in refining the analytical pipeline for sequencing T-cells and B-cells.

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

·        BS/MS in Computer Science, Math or similar and ideally hands-on NGS lab experience. ·        Strong knowledge of scientific fundamentals and immunoassays. ·        Data analysis and coding skills, including Matlab, R, and Python. ·        Ability to learn and follow standard laboratory techniques and safety precautions. ·        Solid communication skills coupled with excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills. ·        Attention to detail and ability to execute experiments following SOPs.
