The Role: Compounding Technician – Pharmaceutical

A great opportunity has become available for a Compounding Technician to join our team at our Brunswick facility in a Full-time permanent position, working one of three available shifts rostered between06:54 am to 23:00 pm Monday to Friday with flexibility to perform overtime as required. In this role you will be responsible for the aseptic production process- manufacturing Chemotherapy, Antibiotics and Nutritional products for our hospitals and patients. This includes preparing and compounding sterile medications and solutions according to established protocols, ensuring accuracy, safety, and quality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Picking and preparing raw materials Aseptically compounding (mixing) sterile solutions Packing of finished units for each order including final inspection of products Labelling and dispatching of prepared products Ensuring documentation is completed in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Adhering to Baxter’s Standard Operating Procedures Contribute to Baxter’s full inclusion and diversity culture Other duties as required 

Essential skills & qualifications 

Enjoy work that requires a high attention to detail Willingness to learn new skills Adapting to shift work schedules as needed Providing assistance in environments with defined procedures and protocols Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment Be comfortable working within a cleanroom environment for most of your working day Executing repetitive results in a consistent and accurate manner Demonstrate a good understanding of basic mathematics Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Experience in pharmacy, manufacturing or warehousing would be an advantage Tasks involve manual repetitive handling and dexterity Previous manual compounding experience highly regarded 

This role is subject to the following:

A pre -employment medical including stringent vision screening (GMP requirement), background and reference checks. 

Note: Training/orientation will require flexibility for approx. 3-5 months with shift times ranging between 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
