Compounder 7 **BULK MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN** **SANFORD, NC** **THE ROLE** In this role you will be responsible for: + _Manufacture and pre-weigh bulk batches and receive raw materials_ + _Adhere to HR and S&H policies and respect Good Manufacturing Practices_ + _Follow departmental procedures with respect to manufacturing, pre-weigh and receiving_ + _Contribute positive results to the bulk department key objectives (QA Index, GCM, S&H, RFT)_ + _Accurately weigh raw materials for batches_ + _Locate and retrieve raw materials for batches_ + _Pick your chemicals in the computer system to maintain our inventory supply_ + _Manufacture bulk batches_ + _Manufacture pilot batches_ + _Achieve an understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and employ these practices at all times by maintaining a clean and safe work area_ + _Maintain accuracy in work_ + _Understand raw material safety procedures; Knows how to obtain safety information for raw materials unknown to them and uses the suggested personal safety equipment_ + _Demonstrate willingness to work reasonable overtime as required_ + _Perform duties at a satisfactory pace_ + _Maintain a positive relationship with the manufacturing and IC departments_ + _Routinely interact with management_ + _Must be able to multitask_ + _Follow all site GMP policies and procedures_ + _Other duties as assigned_ **WHAT YOU’LL BRING** We’d love to see candidates who have: **_Essential:_** + _Must have a High School diploma or equivalent_ + _Prior Compounding experience preferred_ **_Knowledge:_** + _Have satisfactory knowledge in Basic arithmetic; This will enable the employee to perform basic weighing and measuring functions; Must be able to use a calculator; Must be able to demonstrate this skill_ + _Basic knowledge of GCM, QA indices_ + _Basic mechanical knowledge of mixing and weighing equipment_ + _Basic Reading and Comprehension- Employee is required to read and comprehend bulk-manufacturing documents pertaining to the manufacture of bulk batches; Must be able to demonstrate this skill_ + _Duties require a high degree of accuracy in the job performance and attention to detail_ + _Have satisfactory attendance, safety record and work performance_ + _Meets the minimal requirements to obtain a valid forklift license_ + _Ability to stand for a long period of time as well as raise and move up to 22.7 kilograms (50 pounds) unassisted and maneuver drums weighing approximately 200 kilos (440 pounds)_ + _Strong in communication skills_ + _Understand importance of teamwork and how it applies to the Bulk Processing Department_ + _Have a basic understanding of Coty’s customers (internal and external) and understand role in customer satisfaction_ + _Committed to completion of work assignments_ + _Eager to assist others when required_ + _Is an active participant in meetings and voices opinions openly_ + _Shares new ideas with others_ **_Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:_** + _This is a full-time position_ + _This position requires the ability to work mandatory overtime to meet business needs either within the day and/or the weekend and business operates on multiple shifts_ **_Work Environment:_** _While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Work environment could include exposure to varying air temperatures seasonally impacted._ **_Physical Demands:_** _The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job._ **_Medium_** _: Requires exertion of 21 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, or 11 to 25 pounds of force frequently, or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires about 6 or more hours of intermittent standing or walking in an 8-hour workday. Sitting may be required only intermittently and occasionally.
