Composite Technician

SUMMARY
The Technician will be responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and packaging
customer products for shipment. S/he will also routinely support various aspects of the facility in areas such as equipment maintenance, shipping and receiving, customer and supplier deliveries, facility maintenance, and complying with RCT’s Quality Management System (QMS). This position interacts regularly with all departments, and periodically with suppliers and customers
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assemble/disassemble manufacturing tooling
2. Prepare and assemble propeller blade materials and purchased machine
components for Resin-Transfer-Molding (RTM) process
3. Mold propeller blades in molding fixture with assistance from Engineering as
required
4. Assist Engineering with product installations and propeller assemblies
5. Receive and inspect Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) deliveries, and upload
records to the QMS
6. Assist Engineering with incoming inspections of raw material and purchased parts (non-COTS) as required
7. Maintain physical inventory in appropriate locations; assist with inventory counts as required
8. Maintain MRB/non-conforming product area to ensure non-conforming products do not return to inventory
9. Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits in support of AS9100D certification/maintenance
10. Review applicable work instructions, procedures, and policies; attend internal or external training events as required
11. Participate in various company continuous improvement projects/initiatives
12. Perform various business-related errands including restocking shop and office
supplies
13. Support facility upkeep/improvements
14. Other functions as required and assigned by supervisor
REQUIREMENTS
1. 0-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent work experience
2. Technical aptitude sufficient for preparing and assembling propeller materials for molding with minimal supervision
3. Ability to work collaboratively with engineers and other technicians on a variety of tasks
4. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint) or equivalent
5. Good oral and written communication skills
6. Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs is required
7. Must be a U.S. Citizen
