Component Engineer

In Tubize, you will join more than 250 colleagues recognized by domestic and international partners for expertise on products such as Radio Frequency (RF) Products, C4ISR, Crypto Global Solution, MACS (Aeronautical Intercom) and many others.

Your mission
You will be select of mechanical and electronic components that are used in our products, based upon Thales PPL (Preferred part list) and Component Information System. You assist and support design engineers in the selection of parts that best fit their requirements. You review all requests for new components to assure that a current part can satisfy the requirements. You participate in design reviews for the purpose of component selection and standardization.You maintain the APL and assign new inventory part numbers (standard titles for components, maintain current descriptions to the standard format, flag obsolete parts, consolidate duplicate parts and reduces inventory).In cooperation with the purchasing department you will be in contact with multiple suppliers covering a broad range of technologies. You select alternate sources of supply and maintain the (AVL) Approved Vendors List.You will be support for the purchase of components used during the prototype phase of the internal developments.You will work inside an enthusiast multi-discipline engineering team which will give you the opportunity to evolve and enlarge your skills.Your work will be performed considering high level international standards and in-house quality procedures (ISO and Civil Aviation standards).We are looking forward to
Education
Master or Bachelor in electronics, telecommunication, or equivalent through experience3 or more years of experience in hardware and mechanical developmentThe candidate should be fluent in French, Dutch or English. Strong knowledge of French and English is required.Knowledge and skills
Knowledge of a range of components that are used in electronic and mechanical design, both analog and digital applications.Experience in circuit design as well as mechanical design is a plus.An experience in a circuit board and logistics assembly line is a plus.Wide interest in technology. Innovative, creative and avid learner.Flexible and capable of handling multiple tasks in parallel.Microsoft Office : MS Excel is mandatory.Abstract mental capacity and a wide interest in technology.
