What you'll do We are looking for a Compliance Project Manager/Agile Scrum Master to join our Security Engineering Team and help lead our Information Security Compliance efforts in a highly visible, fast-paced environment. The team is growing to support Viasat’s strategic goals and initiatives, as well as address the ever evolving internal and external compliance landscape. The day-to-day Coordinate IT audits and assessments with internal and external audit teams to ensure efficient, effective delivery, and minimal impact to business process owners Partner and collaborate across the business to establish and follow up on mitigation plans and outline business cases for projects resulting from risk assessments Develop strong and influential relationships across all levels of the organization and manage/lead project teams and multiple work streams Support and organize the drafting and release of Information Security policies, standards, guidelines, and other documentation Demonstrate sense of urgency and responsiveness to complete work and solve problems, with a strong drive to persevere when faced with ambiguity Participate in compliance improvement projects to ensure the consistent development and implementation of interdepartmental and cross-functional team projects Engages with internal and external stakeholders to manage security and compliance expectations and deliverables Track and communicate team status and progress via burn-up and burn-down charts as it pertains to compliance audits and projects, as well as other information to the team, management, and stakeholders -ensuring it accurately reflects current state Organize and facilitate Scrum ceremonies and backlog refinement under minimal supervision Support the Product Owner in grooming and maintaining the product backlog Facilitate the process by which we create and manage the following: Epics, Story Boards, Use Cases, Story Point estimation, etc. Vendor management and financial oversight specific to the teams supported Proactively remove or escalate roadblocks to allow team progress What you'll need 3+ years' Project Management experience using Agile methodologies Basic understanding of Compliance, Security, Risk and Privacy principles Demonstrated experience leading/ supporting multiple teams Proven Scrum Master experience (i.e. Backlog management, iteration planning, performance measuring) Demonstrated experience with Agile software and collaboration tools (Jira, Slack, Wiki, etc.) Experience in Vendor/ Outside services management Strong analytical, problem solving, time management, relationship building and influencing skills Exceptional written and verbal communication and collaboration skills Able to resolve conflicts, facilitate discussions, propose viable alternatives, and escalate to management as needed Maintain industry and regulatory change knowledge What will help you on the job Scrum Master certification Project Management Professional (PMP) certification PCI regulatory framework experience and knowledge CISA, CRISC, CISM, CISSP, CIA, or other professional certifications Salary range $93,500.00 - $148,000.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $112,000.00- $168,000.00/ annually At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional cash or stock incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
