Overview The Compliance Program Specialist provides essential operational, administrative, and regulatory support to the enterprise compliance function at EmpowerMe Wellness. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Compliance, this role ensures the smooth execution of day-to-day compliance operations, enabling the VPC to focus on strategic priorities such as enterprise risk oversight, executive engagement, and governance advancement. Responsibilities This is a hands-on role for a detail-oriented, highly organized professional with strong communication skills, regulatory awareness, and the ability to manage multiple moving parts across departments. The ideal candidate may have a paralegal background or experience supporting legal, risk, or compliance functions. By managing systems, tracking deliverables, and supporting clear, timely communication, the Compliance Program Specialist plays a critical role in advancing EMW’s compliance maturity assuring that strategic work isn’t stalled by operational gaps and serving as the engine behind a scalable, credible compliance infrastructure. Issue Intake & Case Management: Log, triage, and track compliance concerns or incidents; support case management system documentation and closure timelines Audit Coordination: Maintain the internal audit calendar, coordinate scheduling and follow-up, compile documentation, and assist in drafting audit reports and findings summaries Policy Management: Support policy lifecycle management - track revisions, ensure version control, maintain document repository, and assist with formatting/distribution Training Logistics: Track mandatory training completions, and follow-up on past-due training Compliance Committee Support: Prepare agendas, document minutes, support presentation slide development, and track open action items Regulatory Research: Conduct preliminary legal/regulatory research and compile summaries related to state or federal compliance obligations under direction Reporting & Dashboards: Help maintain KPI dashboards, compliance calendars, and status trackers for program deliverables Administrative Support: Schedule meetings, manage workflows, support document formatting, prepare first drafts of compliance communications or notices Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certification or relevant training strongly preferred 2–5 years of experience in compliance, legal, healthcare administration, or risk-related work Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex workflows, documents, and deadlines efficiently Strong technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Ability to take initiative, work independently, and juggle multiple deadlines Strong writing and formatting skills; familiarity with legal or regulatory language a plus Professional and approachable communication style; able to handle sensitive matters with discretion, tact, and follow-through when working with cross-functional partners Core Competencies Attention to detail Initiative and follow-through Discretion and professionalism Process orientation Communication skills Adaptability Collaboration Technology fluency Problem-solving mindset Learning agility
