**OPEN AVAILABILITY AS BUSINESS NEEDS WILL CHANGE UPON SEASONS**The Compliance Practitioner (Quality Assurance Technician) enforces quality and food safety systems to ensure the Bakery products we manufacture are in accordance with the customers’ expectations, regulatory, and SQF standards. This position promotes continuous improvement within the department and the facility and is capable of problem solving independently.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES· Conduct organoleptic testing of baked products.
· Uphold facility’s GMPs, SQF requirements, CCP verifications, SSOP verifications, general FDA regulations, and all company food safety requirements.
· Work directly with Production Supervisors, Production team members and Maintenance to problem solve quality issues identified during the shift.
· Perform pre-operational inspections of production area
· Report nonconformance concerns and recommend corrective actions for procedure or process deficiencies.
· Participate in plant training and auditing
· Monitor, collect, bake, analyze and maintain retention and shelf-life samples.
· Collect ATP swab samples and perform visual inspections on sanitation tasks
· Identify and isolate non-conforming product in a timely manner
· Follow all Safety, QA, and Production standard operating procedures and practices
· Review receiving paperwork, raw material lot codes, and product records.
· Coach and train operators on quality and food safety systems and expectations
· Assist in troubleshooting issues within processing, packaging, and palletizing to maintain product quality and safety.
· Participate on the food safety team and monthly internal inspection
· Support continuous improvement of Quality Assurance KPIs and initiatives such as customer complaints and audit findings.
· Perform other duties as needed in accordance with the organization’s policies and regulations.
· Complete assignments or other duties as required by QA Manager
· Assist the QA Manager in maintaining a positive Food Safety Culture
Basic Requirements:· Able to consume bread products containing wheat for organoleptic testing
· Able to train, coach, mentor, and empower all team members
· Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on teamwork, customer service, and safe working practice
· Flexible work schedule (weekdays and weekends, days, and evenings)
· Trained in the fundamentals of food safety, HACCP, and GMPs.
