Primary Responsibilities
Provide compliance advisory support and coverage over personal information protection law as well as the regulatory requirements of outsourcing and third party management. Provide oral and written advice to stakeholders on the regulatory requirements in both Japanese and English. Monitor and Challenge first line processes and identify risk areas for them to put relevant controls.Provide Compliance advice which may be general in nature or specific, for example, to regulatory change, regulatory interpretation, ordinary course of business enquiries and exceptional situations.Conduct Periodical/Ad-hoc compliance training for stakeholders of all departments within the firm.Participate in / lead as appropriate strategic projects and initiatives with relevant teams and other legal and compliance professions, including helping to scope projects, deliver workstreams and implement action plans.Collaborate with colleagues in global teams to discuss solutions and advice for issues, and work for projects as well as initiatives.Coordinate and lead the periodical management update meetings as well as team meetings.Qualifications
Relevant experience in compliance, risk management or regulatory related functions Experience in advisory compliance and/or Risk Management is preferableExcellent written/verbal communication skills in both Japanese and EnglishStrong analytical skills and high level of attention to detailStrong sense of Risks and ControlsAbility to research and resolve issues effectively and collaboratively as a team, as well as independentlyProficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel formulas and functionalities and PowerPoint preparation of visually appealing an clean presentationsWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY:
