What this job involves – Compliance Manager, Asset (SEZ-STPI-FTZ) Management

Lead team of fifteen to twenty of SEZ-STPI compliance professionals. Responsible for the process of end-to-end operations of SEZ-STPI regulations Pan India, developing reports and plans, and analyzing risk/issue problems and audit findings and defining and overseeing the implementation of risk solutions to help optimize operations.  Assesses and communicates information regarding business operations with functions across the organization. Compliance roles: promote, maintain, and advance the firm's compliance regime.  Ethics roles: promote, maintain, and advance the firm's ethics regime.  SEZ-STPI roles: manage the firm's operation through collaboration.

Role Purpose

Ensuring that team is sending the update promptly and proactively to all business team on their queries.Manage all import and indigenous shipment's customs clearances on time for Pan India.Monitoring all licenses validity and initiating renewals in advance for PAN India.Ensuring that team are processing CHA invoices and USD payments to foreign suppliers on time for Pan IndiaEnsuring that team is providing weekly/Monthly report for pending activities to respective business teams on time.Monitoring CG, BLUT and B17 Bond balance for PAN India and renew as and when required.Identify, initiate and drive bulk debonding activity throughout PAN India for old/obsolete assets procured without payment of duty for STPI and SEZ units.Maintain good working relation with the STPI, SEZ and Central Excise officials to secure approval in minimum turnaround time for PAN India.Support in expansion of area, new registration and timely renewal of LOA & LOP, Excise License for Pan IndiaSupport in Import Export Certificate modification for PAN IndiaMaintain & closely monitor all the controls posture of GL processes and STPI/SEZ Compliance with team and identify the gaps, take corrective measures.Manage effectively the site teams, including having regular structured Management team meetings and ensuring that employee performance, training and development and staff satisfaction is on the agenda and is discussed regularly.Together with management team, develop and implement a client specific training for existing team and an induction program for the new joinersEnsure to have regular meetings with the team and the outcome of the team meetings are tracked for.In order to improve levels of engagement, release at least two newsletters / communications in area of STPI/SEZ.Ensure to maintain strong customer service for providing immediate solution/serviceKeeping track of STPI-SEZ policy and procedure changes, highlight the major changes in the provisions and work with the team for necessary implementation in the functionEnsure to achieve financial targets for the company and support revenue growth for the company by innovative ideas.Sharing previous work experience, innovation in many areas, including strategies for more effective teamwork. Devise strategies for improving teamwork and communication among members of team projects with innovative ideas.

Desired skills and experience for this job

A Bachelor's degree (ideally in one of the following accounting; engineering; finance or economics; IT; law; management or business studies; mathematics; risk management; science or statistics).Minimum of six years of experience in any industry in similar role.Subject-matter-expert in Special Economic Zone and Software Technology Park of India.Experience of engaging with and earning the trust of key stakeholders at all levels.Strong awareness and understanding of management principles and procedures, as well as the wider business and economic context.Well-organized and structured approach to managing a complex workload.Able to own, drive and deliver results.Pragmatic and logical problem solver. Ability to Dive Deep to analyze complex problems, resolve issues and recommend solutions based on root-cause analysis.Collaborative team player able to help establish a culture of openness and excellence in data governance.Creative thinker, driving change and able to adapt to an ever-changing work environment.Excellent written and verbal communication.Numerical skills and commercial awareness.Flexible and enjoys dynamic working environment.Hands on, pragmatic approach to identifying and establishing improvements to standards and operations, able to challenge current thinking and lead change.
