Job title : Compliance Lead - FSTD Technical Support Operations
Work location : Delhi
A. ROLE’ OVERVIEW:
The Compliance Lead is a senior-level independent contributor responsible for ensuring that the Simulator Center remains fully compliant with DGCA regulations, international standards, and internal compliance requirements.This role requires deep expertise in regulatory compliance, audits, and quality management related to Flight Simulation Training Devices (FSTDs) and its operations.
The Compliance Lead plays a critical role in liaising with regulatory authorities, internal stakeholders, and external auditors to ensure seamless certification and audit processes. The role also includes monitoring, evaluating, and improving compliance processes to ensure continuous operational readiness and adherence to aviation safety and quality standards.
B. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Regulatory Compliance & Certification:
○ Ensures FSTDs and other Training Devices and its operations are in full compliance with DGCA regulations, and other applicable aviation standards for simulator operations.
○ Oversee and manage the FSTD recurrent qualification and approval process to maintain certification.
○ Ensures the FSTD Operations of the Training Center is audit-ready at all times by proactively addressing compliance gaps.
2. Audit Management & Readiness:
○ Lead and manage internal and external audits, including DGCA surveillance checks, OEM audits, and internal quality assessments.
○ Act as the primary liaison regarding FSTD Operations of the Training Centre with Quality Manager, regulatory authorities (DGCA), Airbus central teams, and other aviation bodies for all compliance-related matters.
○ Prepare and maintain necessary documentation, reports, and records to support audit requirements.
○ Coordinate Corrective Action Plans (CAPA) in response to audit findings and ensure timely resolution of non-compliance issues.
3. Compliance Monitoring & Quality Assurance:
○ Conduct periodic compliance assessments and internal audits to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
○ Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and maintenance procedures in simulator operations.
○ Work closely with maintenance and technical teams to ensure compliance is embedded in daily operations.
4. Training & Awareness:
○ Conduct training and awareness programs for maintenance and operations teams on compliance requirements, regulatory updates, and audit best practices.
○ Provide guidance to internal teams on regulatory expectations and continuous compliance improvement initiatives.
5. Documentation & Reporting:
○ Maintain and update all necessary regulatory documents, manuals, policies, and procedures related to simulator center compliance.
○ Ensure timely submission of compliance reports and documentation to Quality Manager, authorities and senior management.
○ Provide regular compliance status updates and risk assessments to the Head of Maintenance.
C. OUTPUTS & SUCCESS METRICS:
● Successful completion of DGCA, regulatory, and customer audits with zero or minimal findings.
● Timely FSTD approvals and recurrent qualifications without disruptions.
● Continuous regulatory compliance with proactive issue resolution.
● Improved compliance awareness and adherence among maintenance teams.
● Effective reporting and communication of compliance status to leadership.
D. JOB REQUIREMENTS:
● Educational Qualification:
○ Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, or a related technical field.
○ Additional certifications in Quality Management, Aviation Safety, or Regulatory Compliance will be a plus.
● Experience:
○ Minimum 8 years of experience in aviation compliance, quality assurance, or simulator maintenance operations.
○ Strong experience with DGCA regulations, FSTD Qualifications, and aviation safety audits.
○ Prior experience in leading compliance and audit processes in a simulator training center or aviation environment will be a plus.
● Technical & Regulatory Knowledge:
○ Deep understanding of FSTD certification requirements, aviation compliance frameworks, and maintenance regulations.
○ Experience in audit management, corrective action planning, and regulatory reporting.
○ Knowledge of EASA/FAA regulatory frameworks is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge about MQTG (Specialist) , QVSD and RQTG and OSD and Aerodynamics and aircraft performance.
● Key Skills:
○ Strong stakeholder management and ability to work with regulatory bodies, senior leadership, technical teams, and customers.
○ Excellent documentation and reporting skills with attention to detail.
○ Analytical and problem-solving mindset to identify compliance risks and solutions.
○ Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
E. OTHER REQUIREMENTS
● Ability to work in a dynamic, high-compliance environment with a proactive approach.
● Willingness to stay updated on evolving regulatory requirements and best practices.
● Flexible to support audits and compliance activities beyond normal working hours when required.
Those candidates with relevant experience ranges between (8 - 10) years are suitable for this requirement.
