We are recruiting a professional to take on the role of Compliance Expert, focused on Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) and MiFID II products.This role is pivotal within our regulatory team and the application of MiCA and MiFID II in Openbank's business. The successful candidate will support the compliance team, participating and collaborating in all monitoring and compliance tasks to ensure MiCA and MiFID II compliance and meet new regulatory requirements for crypto asset service providers (CASPs).

Responsibilities:
Support the bank's efforts in preparing for compliance with MiCA and MiFID regulations.Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and internal requirements in the area of WpHG/MaComp/MaDepot.Assist in the preparation of license/registration applications, playing a key role in launches of new products and services.Adapt and develop corporate and local policies, as well as compliance procedures related to cryptoassets, digital assets, and WpHG/MiFID activity.Support and advise front-line agents on matters relating to cryptoassets, digital assets, and WpHG/MiFID-related questions to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, investor conduct and protection standards, and supervisory expectations in the sale of financial products.Participate in the design and review of contracting flows in different channels to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.Manage local approval and subsequent corporate validation of new financial products before its launch, as well as subsequent modifications in accordance with the New Product Approval Policy.Coordinate and manage due diligence on digital custody and broker providers, as well as their annual re-evaluations.Monitor regulatory developments and manage the implementation of corresponding modifications.Ensure the activity on cryptoassets and WpHG/MiFID II meets the needs of the defined target market and aligns with corporate and regulatory criteria, adopting corrective measures if necessary.Prepare follow-up reports and report their content to local and corporate governance bodies periodically.Attend and manage inspection activities and respond to requirements from supervisory bodies, coordinating with relevant areas to implement corrective measures.Assist in internal audits on cryptoassets, digital assets, and WpHG/MiFID, follow up on recommendations, and ensure their implementation.Follow up on customer complaints regarding capital market products and support the definition of action plans to reduce frequent causes of complaints.Define training plans on cryptoassets and WpHG/MiFID, and monitor their execution.Requirements:
Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in a compliance role within digital assets, financial services, fintech, or banking.Degree in Law or a double degree in Business Administration/Economics and Law or a related field.Complementary education or certification in Compliance, Digital Assets, and WpHG/MiFID is a plus.Good command of written and spoken German and English.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Outlook.Well-organized, adaptable to work environment and new challenges, proactive with good communication and teamwork skills, discreet and ethical, problem-solving with demonstrable initiative and eagerness to learn.In-depth knowledge of the crypto assets industry and WpHG/MiFID regulations as well as further standards like MaComp or MaDepot.Would you like to grow with us?
