Compliance Engineer - Environmental
**Position Summary:** In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing environmental compliance strategies, systems, and processes that align with international regulations, customer expectations, and our company’s compliance goals. **Key Areas of Responsibility:** + **Lead** quality system maintenance to assure effective and compliant processes for environmental compliance (including but not limited to RoHS, REACH, WEEE, Battery, Packaging, Proposition 65, and EU-MDR). + **Take lead** in staying ahead of evolving environmental regulations and ensure proactive compliance. + **Take lead in** assisting product design in meeting environmental standards and provide technical guidance, i.e., evaluate the regulatory environment and contribute to providing internal advice throughout the product lifecycle (e.g., concept, development, manufacturing, marketing, changes) to ensure environmental product compliance. + **Manage** environmental reporting (such as Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), Battery, and Packaging), respond to audits, and address customer inquiries related to compliance. + **Collaborate** with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental compliance into the product development process and ensure that environmental regulatory compliance aligns with project requirements and timelines. + **Train, mentor and guide** the team in understanding environmental requirements and best practices. + **Collaborate** with internal and external stakeholders to drive environmental sustainability initiatives. **Minimum Requirements:** + Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent combination of education and experience). + At least 4 years in Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, or Engineering with experience in Product Environmental Compliance. **Preferred Requirements:** + Strong understanding of regulations like RoHS, REACH, WEEE, Battery, Packaging, Proposition 65, and EU-MDR. + Able to assess compliance issues and implement effective solutions. + Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with global teams. + Experience in establishing and training Quality Systems processes. + Ability to analyze and solve process and system-related issues. + A strong commitment to sustainability and environmental compliance. + Proficient in Swedish and English with excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Proficient in MS Office and skilled in managing compliance documentation.
