The International Regulatory Compliance team in Spain performs a critical role in ensuring that the European Legal Entities comply with all applicable laws and regulations. This team will give the candidate the opportunity to work on meaningful projects, whilst developing world-class leadership skills.

How will you make an impact in this role?

Management of SAC (2nd line) customer complaints for AEESA and AEPE in Spain and markets under Freedom of Services regime, as well as complaints escalated to Bank Bank of Spain within the regulatory timelines. Preparation of SAC reports required by the regulator and the internal proceedings. Management of the updates to the complaints and SAC procedures. Training and advisory role in complaints.  Regulatory advisory role in the implementation of local laws and regulations in the Regulatory Change Management process and participation in the Compliance Risk Assessment process. Subject matter expert in Insurance projects to ensure adherence with local laws and regulations. Support business initiatives impacting all lines of business in Spain. Communications review from a transparency perspective and in line with internal policies. Training and advisory role in Marketing.

Minimum qualifications

University Degree (preferable in Law). Strong English proficiency (C2) is a must, both verbal and written. Must be familiar with the local regulation for the Payment Services regulations in Spain and Europe. At least 1-2 years of Compliance regulatory experience related to Banks, Cards, or Payments industry. Proven track record in designing and implementing regulatory compliance programs including analysis of regulation, risk assessments, design and draft of policies & procedures, reports, and monitoring programs. Analytical skills and strong business understanding. Ability to respond on a timely manner any queries from the business and work in collaboration with other Compliance teams. Good command of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Excellent and solid communication (verbal and written) and influencing skills. Ability to build positive relationships with business, stakeholders and partners. Ability to adapt and handle several tasks at the same time and to work as a team. Initiative and ability to assume responsibilities. The position candidate must feel comfortable answering multiple business requests and prioritizing the order in which answers will be provided.
