Compliance Analyst

Join Verisk Analytics as a Compliance Analyst, where you will play a key role in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and customer agreements. You will conduct detailed audits, review documentation for compliance with laws such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and help protect sensitive customer and consumer information. This position requires strong attention to detail, thorough knowledge of privacy regulations, and collaboration across teams to maintain the highest standards of data security and compliance.

About You and How You Can Excel in this Role

College degree or equivalent experience 

Working knowledge of Microsoft business applications including Word and Excel 

The ability to learn customer relationship management, contract management, and document repository applications

Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Excellent customer service skills

Advanced organizational skills as well as the ability to monitor and meet project deadlines

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience with internet research, basic knowledge of search engine tools and the ability to utilize resources on the Internet.

Knowledge of FCRA and DPPA, as well as other state privacy laws is helpful.

Bilingual is a plus 

Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation

About the Day to Day Responsibilities of the Role

Performs state and customer audits and reviews documentation for compliance with customer agreements, applicable regulations, including researching customer information to help determine if a customer should retain access to driver reports and other confidential information

Addresses consumer Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) requests, as well as consumer requests stemming from jurisdictional privacy laws. 

Reviews documentation for compliance with customer agreements, applicable regulations, and internal requirements to help verify customer access to information reports and other confidential information

Frequent contact with customers, consumers and internal departments

Maintains knowledge and understanding of Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Driver’s Privacy Protection Act (DPPA), state statutes and regulations, and contractual requirements with data providers and customer.

Maintains images and indexing of all customer paperwork in document repository

Develops and updates SOPs and training documents as needed

Assists other team members as needed.

Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned.
