About the Role
The Analyst, Compliance will contribute to the implementation and support of compliance requirements across the utilities division and provide compliance support to other ATCO divisions. This role will leverage both analytical and technical skills to support the establishment of inter-affiliate arrangements as well as the development and management of digital compliance tools used to manage content.

Code of Conduct Compliance
Provide guidance to utilities divisions on Inter-Affiliate Code of Conduct (IACC) requirements pertaining to inter-affiliate interactions and financial transactions Provide Code of Conduct Regulation (COCR) guidance between distribution divisions (ATCO Gas and Electric) and affiliated retailer, ATCO Energy Assist the Compliance Officer and Compliance Plan Committees with their respective compliance requirements Prepare and maintain inter-affiliate services agreements and other documentation to ensure compliance and fulfill reporting needs Develop compliance reports for internal and external stakeholders Monitor and support compliance-related regulatory filings and investigations Analyze new business initiatives, strategies, or organizational changes to develop appropriate compliance solutions Contribute to the annual company-wide training processes by supporting the development and administration of training modules for all three codes across ATCO companies
Business and Financial Analysis
Collaborate with utilities accounting teams to establish and review pricing methodologies for inter-affiliate services Support the compilation of inter-affiliate financial transaction reports for the utilities accounting teams Provide independent recommendations for business inquiries related to inter-affiliate financial matters Develop a thorough understanding of business costs relevant to inter-affiliate service provision Analyze and provide insights into the fair market value of retail natural gas and electricity services in Alberta
Process Development, Content Management, Reporting and Document Control
Design, develop, and maintain SharePoint sites to manage compliance content Design, develop, and maintain digital workflows using Microsoft Power Automate, automating code requirements and processes where required and facilitating accurate record-keeping of compliance data Implement effective data and file management strategies using metadata tagging Develop and manage customized digital forms (e.g., using Adobe or Microsoft Forms) to streamline data collection and processes Develop and prepare reports for compliance data
What You Bring:
Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science or Data Science. Other relevant programs may be considered Experience with at least one of the following: accounting and finance, regulatory or policy development, and/or computer or data science (process automation) Strong compliance mindset; desiring to act with integrity consistently Enhanced analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in data analysis, including experience with tools like Excel Experience with Microsoft 365 applications, including SharePoint, Power BI and Power Automate Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills Proven ability to manage priorities, work collaboratively in a team, and build effective relationships with internal stakeholders Confidence to support and correspond with senior executives across the ATCO companies
