Ford Credit, a leading provider of automotive financing solutions, is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Compliance Officer to join our team. This critical role ensures our continued commitment to regulatory compliance and ethical business practices across all operations in Spain and the EU.
As a proactive leader, you will navigate complex regulatory landscapes, foster a strong culture of compliance, and serve as the primary liaison with local regulatory authorities.
The minimum requirements we seek:
Degree educated with 5–10 years of senior compliance experience in financial services.Proven experience managing relationships with regulatory authorities.Strong understanding of Spanish and EU financial regulations, including:Financed sales in installmentsFinancial leasingData protection lawsOur preferred requirements:

Regulatory Compliance & Governance
Act as the main point of contact with local regulators, maintaining strong, transparent relationships.Maintain formal records of all regulatory correspondence and escalate key matters to Group Compliance.Provide regular compliance updates to senior management and the board.Horizon Scanning & Risk Management
Monitor and assess changes in local and EU regulations, advising relevant teams accordingly.Maintain and update the Compliance Risk Register (CRR), ensuring effective controls are in place.Monitoring & Reporting
Develop and manage a robust Compliance Monitoring Programme.Analyse and report compliance breaches, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Chair or participate in compliance and risk committees, escalating issues as needed.Policies, Procedures & Training
Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and training frameworks.Deliver ongoing training to ensure staff awareness of compliance, AML, and data protection obligations.AML & Financial Crime
Serve as the local AML and Financial Crime lead, including:
Managing SARs, PEPs, sanctions screening, and transaction monitoring.Completing AML-related regulatory returns and banking questionnaires.Maintaining AML risk assessments and reporting to the board and regulators.Data Protection & Privacy
Act as the local contact for the European Data Protection Officer.Implement initiatives to ensure compliance with Spanish and EU data protection laws.Business Continuity & Incident Management
Oversee the compliance function’s Business Continuity Plan.Track and report incidents and whistleblowing matters, supporting onward reporting to external bodies.Audit & Internal Controls
Support internal audits, respond to findings, and implement remedial actions.
