Risk and Compliance Officer, Captive Insurance
Aon Insurance Manager in Malta is seeking an experienced Risk and Compliance Officer to join their Captive Management team.
This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Malta office

What the day will look like
+ Holding the role of Compliance Officer for Aon Captive Insurance Management in Malta and its managed clients
+ Acting as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer for the Aon Malta entity
+ Using initiative, knowledge and collaboration with the client teams to advise & support on a wide range of Compliance and regulatory matters
+ Reporting to the Senior Manager - Risk and Compliance on all compliance and regulatory matters
+ Keeping abreast of all regulatory requirements and inform the Board and all stakeholders as necessary.
+ Liaising with the MFSA on all regulatory related matters
+ Implementing a compliance plan to ensure corporate compliance with all applicable regulations
+ Assisting with the preparation of quarterly and annual regulatory reporting submissions
+ Liaising with global clients and other service providers including actuaries, internal and external auditors and risk consultant
+ Preparing of compliance reports for the Board’s approval and discussion and participation in client Board Meetings
+ Coordinating the development and ongoing maintenance of risk policies and procedures
+ Monitoring and maintaining the system of governance and internal controls
+ Performing due diligence and KYC related tasks
+ Being involved with ad hoc projects aimed at enhancing client service and/or operational efficiency
+ Provides training to all staff
+ Act as business continuity plan coordinator
+ Act as risk management outsourced function
Skills and experience that will lead to success
+ Qualified in either Financial Services, Risk Management, Insurance, or Law – Essential
+ Have a proven understanding of EU and Malta insurance regulatory environment – Essential.
+ Hands-on experience of the Solvency II regime in particular risk management – Essential
+ Proven background within a compliance or insurance background – Desired
+ Has completed or a willingness to complete compliance and risk management certifications.
+ Holds the correct RTW permit for Malta.
