About the roleWhat you need to know:The organization is in the business of insurance and claims settlement is one of the key functions in this trade. The organization will need to have claim specialist to manage the claims portfolio. In this regard, individuals (claims handlers) with the right talent and technical knowledge needs to part of the claims team. The primary purpose of the job is to handle a portfolio of Commercial General Liability (CGL) claims, Employers Liability (EL) claims, and Complex Workman Compensation (WC) claims. Coverage review, legal liability assessment and quantum analysis, mediation and resolution, loss mitigation, exposure management are some of the key areas in such claims management. Manage claims as per the internal claim handling guidelines. High level of customer service and relationship building is required.
Functional Responsibilities:
Technical claims handling - coverage determination, legal liability assessment, and quantum analysis.Negotiating complex liability claims.Litigation and exposure management.Managing claims as per internal claims handling guidelines and best practices.Stakeholder management.Collaboration, commitment and teamwork.Data analysis and reporting.Accountabilities:
Accurate policy interpretations and coverage review.Timely and accurate resolution of claims.Effective communication and stakeholder management.Accurate reserving and exposure management.Portfolio management.Provide MI and reporting to senior management.Customer Service.Vendor management.What we’re looking for:Qualifications & Education:
Education Qualification – Diploma level
Experience:
Experience in managing Commercial General Liability, Employers Liability and Workman Compensation claims.
Training:
Any recognized Insurance Training
Knowledge:
Expertise in handling Complex Liability claims and Insurance industry knowledge.
