Job Description
Must-have1. Lead and manage payroll operations across multiple countries within the APAC region, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing in compliance with local laws and internal policies.2. Manage and oversee payroll-related audits, including:3. Payroll audits are linked to financial statement auditsSOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance auditsPost-Employment Benefit Audit (multiple countries)Local statutory audit (multiple countries)4. Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Internal Audit, and external auditors to support audit activities and ensure alignment with corporate governance.5. Ensure all payroll activities are SOX-compliant and adhere to internal control frameworks.6. Identify and implement continuous improvements in payroll processes, systems, and tools to drive efficiency and accuracy.7. Lead, mentor, and support the payroll team to ensure service delivery standards are met.8. Maintain and update documentation related to payroll processes and controls.9. Act as a subject matter expert for payroll compliance and audit requirements across the region.Preferred skillsetCompensation Strategy and Analysis:Develop and implement compensation plans aligned with the company’s objectives.Conduct regular market research and analysis to ensure competitive pay practicesManage annual salary reviews, promotion adjustment, and bonus calculation ensuring fair and consistent application of compensation policies.Design, and evaluate base pay, variable pay, and equity compensation programs to attract, retain, and motivate talent.Maintain and update Traveloka’s job grading system, ensuring it remains relevant to evolving organizational needsBusiness Partnering:Collaborate with HR Business Partners and department heads to provide guidance on compensation-related queries and issues.Provide guidance and support on compensation matters during the hiring process, promotions, transfers, and restructures, ensuring alignment with company policies and strategies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field from a reputable universityMinimum of 7 years of relevant experience in payroll operations, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.Demonstrated experience managing payroll in a multi-country environment.Strong understanding of payroll-related audit processes, including SOX compliance and financial audit requirements.Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Familiarity with payroll systems, vendors, and HRIS systems is a plus.Fluency in English; additional regional languages are a plus.
