Compensation and Benefits Specialist
The Compensation & Benefits Specialist oversees and administers our total rewards programs for employees across Europe. This role involves managing benefits administration—including annual open enrollment—ensuring compliance with local regulations and supporting off-cycle compensation changes. The success of the person on this position relies on strong knowledge of country-specific benefits requirements, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to deliver a seamless employee experience.
QualificationsResponsibilities:
Manage the annual open enrollment process for employees across multiple European countries, coordinating timelines, vendor communications, and employee education materialsAdminister ancillary benefits (e.g., health, dental, life insurance), employee assistance programs (EAP), and retirees’ benefits, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and local regulationsMonitor and maintain benefits records in HR systems, tracking enrollments, terminations, and changes in coverageOversee local benefits programs in each country, ensuring alignment with national labor laws and regulationsCollaborate with regional HR partners and vendors to adapt global programs to country-specific needsStay current with legislative changes affecting benefits and compensation, recommending updates to policies and programs as neededAdminister base pay structures, variable pay, and other compensation programs, ensuring they are implemented consistently and fairlyPrepare and maintain documentation related to compensation and benefits, including job evaluations, salary surveys, and market benchmarkingProcess off-cycle compensation changes, ensuring accuracy, compliance with internal policies, and alignment with market dataRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or relevant certification preferred)3-5 years of experience in compensation and benefits, ideally in a European or multinational contextFamiliarity with HR Information Systems (HRIS) and benefits administration platforms.Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting; experience with market benchmarking tools is a plusIn-depth understanding of European labor laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirementsAbility to adapt global programs to meet country-specific legislative standardsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex compensation and benefits topics clearlyProven ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at all levelsAbility to analyze large data sets, identify trends, and recommend data-driven solutionsDetail-oriented approach with a strong focus on accuracy and process improvement.Additional InformationWhat we offer:
