**What you'll be doing**

At CIBC, we are looking for a Compensation Analyst within our Total Rewards team to play a key role in supporting our compensation programs and processes.
As a Compensation Analyst, you’ll provide critical project and program support to the Total Rewards team. You’ll work on assignments that require analytical rigor and attention to detail, preparing regular reports and analyses to inform decision-making.
This role will allow you to dive deep into data, identify trends, and ensure the integrity of our compensation processes. You’ll also have the opportunity to engage in market research and surveys, helping us stay competitive in the industry.

**How you'll succeed**
+ **Conduct Analysis:** Perform regular analysis and prepare detailed reports that summarize findings for the business and the Total Rewards team. Your insights will help shape our compensation strategies.
+ **Ensure Data Integrity:** Use your keen eye for detail to identify and address data integrity issues through monthly and quarterly reporting.
+ **Participate in Market Research:** Engage in industry and ad hoc custom surveys to gather valuable market data and insights.
+ **Support Compensation Processing:** Assist in the administration of compensation programs, including job evaluations, benchmarking, and ensuring alignment with market data.
+ **Collaborate Across Teams:** Partner with HR colleagues and business leaders to provide guidance on total rewards-related matters and address inquiries.
+ **Ensure Compliance:** Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure our compensation practices remain compliant.
**Who you are**
+ **Educational Background:** You have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
+ **Experienced Professional:** You bring 2-3 years of experience in compensation practices, including knowledge of relevant laws and regulations. Experience in finance or financial services is preferred.
+ **Tech-Savvy:** Familiarity with Workday and PayScale/MarketPay is a strong asset.
+ **Analytical Thinker:** You excel at interpreting data, solving complex problems, and providing actionable insights.
+ **Detail-Oriented:** You understand that accuracy is critical, and you pride yourself on your ability to focus on the finer details.
+ **Collaborative Team Player:** You thrive in a team environment and believe in the power of collective success.
+ **Proactive Self-Starter:** You’re adaptable, eager to learn, and ready to take initiative in a dynamic work environment.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $70,000 - $80,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. Additional total compensation and benefits details will be provided during the hiring process.
