We are currently recruiting a Community Trainer (Community prevention education) to work as part of the Liverpool service. Our ideal candidate will have the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs. 

 

The Trainer will work with the workforce and with the wider community to increase knowledge of working with people who are experiencing difficulties with substances and the impact this has on their health.

 

Where: Liverpool, we have 8 sites arond Liverpool and jobs will be based in anyone of these.

Hours: 18¾ per week (Part time)

Full time Salary: £27,861.26 - £32,002.35 Dependent on experience (Based on full time hours, pro rata for part time)

Responsibilities

About the role:

Develop and deliver a range of interventions to respond to the needs of the wider workforce coach a range of staff, professionals, and will reach out to community groups and businesses to offer training in how to approach the person experiencing difficulties and talk to them about their use of substancesWork with the L&D National Team to ensure training is of a high standard and consistent across the cityWork with the L&D Team and operations on designing any bespoke training to support operationsTo develop a training calendar that reflects opportunities for professional development across the partnership utilising training provision from wider partners and providersTo build and maintain relationships within community stakeholders to be able to identify and respond quickly to new opportunitiesDeliver training on the delivery of Brief Interventions and onward referral following the correct care pathway

 

About you:

Considerable experience of working within substance use services with a clear
understanding of the need for and ability to deliver quality services An excellent understanding of learning styles and the ability to adapt training and resources to meet the needs of different learnersExtensive knowledge of the issues facing substance users including social care, welfare benefits, health and emergency accommodationExperience of effectively using Information Technology, particularly Microsoft Word and Microsoft Power-PointAble to communicate confidently and effectively, verbally and in writingShow a capacity to work alone and the ability to keep calm under pressureDemonstrates effective presentation and facilitation skillsExperience delivering training and/or group work
