Key Responsibilities:Provide community-based mental health services to children, adolescents, and/or adults including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and intervention implementationCollaborate with clients, families, and other stakeholders to develop and implement individualized treatment plansUtilize a strengths-based approach that emphasizes empowerment, skill-building, and resilienceProvide behavioral interventions, including motivational interviewing and cognitive processingCoordinate care with other service providersMaintain accurate and timely records of client interactions and progressParticipate in staff development activities and quality improvement initiativesWork collaboratively with other team members to ensure effective coordination of care and support for clientsDevelop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including parents, teachers, and counselorsEducation, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:An individual with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or other human services specialized field of study; orAn individual with a Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field and two years of related work experience; orAny four-year combination of higher education and two years of related work experience, orAn Associate’s of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support will also fulfill educational requirements; orAn individual with four years of qualifying experience*Illinois Requirements: High school diploma with at least one year of experience in social services is required (RSA designation according to IL Administrative Code Part 132 Section 132.25)Additional Qualifications:Knowledge of case management and rehabilitation methods, principles and techniques as they relate to mental health and/or substance use disordersAbility to problem solve and communicate ideas clearly and effectivelyAbility to be self-motivated to provide high-level performance while meeting the complex needs of the clients and their familiesAbility to multi-task and coordinate services from a variety of community resourcesAbility to establish effective relationships with youth and their families via telephone and personal contactsAbility to follow direction and accept supervisionSuccessful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect and fingerprint checkCurrent driver’s license, acceptable driving record and current auto insurancePhysical Requirements:ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human bodyRepetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shiftSedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time
