Venture Forthe is a leading health care agency in Central, Southern Tier, and Western New York that operates on the fundamental premise that every individual has the right to make their own choices; we advocate for the needs and goals of our clients. The clinical department at Venture Forthe focuses on HCBS/CORE programs under the direction of the OMH. The goal of the CORE/HCBS program derives around the focus of increased behavioral health and addiction recovery through an outpatient system. This focus is used by giving clients the tools, resources, and skills they can utilize to help in their recovery journey. We have helped our clients obtain higher education degrees, grow relationships with family members and regain the ability to be fully independent in the community.
As a Clinical Provider, you will be given the opportunity to make a dramatic difference in the lives of those who are struggling to reemerge into society due to a mental health illness.
Overview:
Psychosocial Rehabilitation: Rehabilitation counseling to support and restore social and interpersonal skills necessary to increase or sustain community tenure, establish support networks, increase community awareness, develop coping strategies, and effective functioning in the individual’s social environment such as home, work, and school.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9a-5pm; no evenings or weekends
Work Environment: Community based: In-home services
RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS:
Possess a high school diploma or GED One year experience supporting people in the Mental Health field or Substance Abuse recoveryKnowledge in the following areas is preferred: disability accommodations and assistive technologies and services, DSS/SSI, Transportation and Housing Access, and Community SUD resources.CUSTOMER SERVICE/INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
