We are seeking a Community Lead to join the Bunnings Corporate Affairs team.

About the role

If you’re passionate about making a difference and love bringing people together, this is your chance to lead community initiatives that matter. We are currently looking for a Community Lead, you’ll help shape and deliver programs that connect our stores, teams and customers with causes that count—across Australia and New Zealand.

You’ll be joining a team that’s collaborative, purpose-driven and always looking for better ways to support our communities. With plenty of variety and visibility, this role offers a million ways to make an impact—and the chance to grow your skills in a fast-paced, people-first environment.

The role is a 12-month parental leave fixed term contract. The role will be based at our National support office in Burnley and is working full time hours Monday to Friday.

What’s involved

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:

Lead the planning and rollout of strategic community campaigns and partnerships.

Work closely with store teams, marketing, operations and external partners to bring initiatives to life.

Build strong relationships with organisations like FightMND and Share the Dignity, as well as local community groups.

Support sustainability reporting and respond to feedback from customers and team members.

Analyse community activity across the network to spot opportunities and share insights.

Help manage risks and support crisis response planning when needed.

Travel occasionally and work flexibly to support events and activations.

About You

You’re someone who thrives on connection—whether it’s with store teams, community partners or cross-functional colleagues. You’re curious, proactive and comfortable juggling multiple priorities. You bring a calm, solutions-focused mindset and a genuine interest in community impact.

What you’ll need

To hit the ground running, you’ll bring:

Tertiary qualifications in PR, Communications, Marketing or Business

Experience in corporate communications, marketing or not-for-profit sectors would be ideal

Strong writing and storytelling skills across different channels.

Experience managing projects from concept to delivery.

Confidence working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Solid planning and time management skills.

A collaborative mindset and ability to work independently when needed.
