Community Impact Program Facilitator – Casual
The opportunity
As our Facilitator, you will focus on the delivery of a program that equips Australian school-aged students with an understanding of living life with a disability and giving them a strong appreciation of social inclusion from an early age. The program is called Just Like You. We work in partnership with a children’s charity, whose funding and support means the program can be offered at no cost to students in years 1 to 7. This is a genuine educational initiative delivered by a team of people who really want to make a difference.
Check out the program at: NSW About Just Like You to find out more about a day in the life of a Facilitator.
We are looking for someone with lived experience of disability to share their experiences with school-aged children, to inspire, educate and join the Community Impact team based in the Sydney region, NSW. The Community Impact team design, develop, implement and evaluate large-scale behaviour change, education and community programs on behalf of both corporations and governments, with an outcome to create a social benefit in society.
We value diversity and encourage all kinds of thinkers to apply. We particularly welcome applications from people with a disability, as we feel that this role provides an opportunity to amplify those voices, offering a unique opportunity to share their experiences and perspectives, in turn enriching the understanding of living with a disability.
This role is offered on a casual basis with expected weekly hours around 15, worked over 3 days’ per week, primarily during school term time and is based in Warrang – Sydney. Please speak with us about potential options for adjustments required to suit the needs of the successful candidate.

Deliver world class disability inclusion workshops to school-aged students (Years 1-7) in Sydney and surrounding areas, in person and virtually. Build and maintain successful relationships with schools to ensure continued partnerships whilst collecting valuable teacher feedback. Skills and attributes for success

Previous experience in presenting, teaching, educating or performing; ideally to school age groups (although this isn’t essential). Ability to engage, inspire and motivate school-aged audiences through face-to-face and digital mediums. Will be able to learn and retain content for presentations. Alternative travel arrangements will be considered for any candidate who does not hold a valid driver’s license, and adjustments can be made for those who may require them to perform their role.
Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
Flexibility to adapt to and embrace unexpected changes. Administration skills with the ability to follow processes. A purpose and values driven attitude – you want to make a positive impact in the community. A self-motivated attitude, with the ability to work independently and remotely.
