Community Development Advisor

NorthStar is seeking a dynamic Community Development Advisor (Sales) at Floral Haven in Broken Arrow, OK. Our sales teams redefine the way families honor their loved ones. About the Role: Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? As a Community Development Advisor, you will play a crucial role in helping families plan for the future. You will be responsible for generating pre-need sales for cemetery property, merchandise, services, and prearranged funeral/cremation plans in your assigned market area.

Key Responsibilities:

Community Engagement & Partnerships: Build meaningful relationships with community groups (churches, civic groups, veteran organizations, hospice, senior living, etc.) to educate and guide families in their preplanning decisions. Schedule and conduct pre-planning seminars. Sales & Customer appointments each week, tracked in the CRM. Customer Service & Inquiry Response: Provide world-class customer service with a positive attitude and a willingness to do “Whatever it takes.” Answer telephone inquiries about cemetery products and services pre-need planning. Administrative & Performance Tracking: Complete paperwork timely, neatly, and accurately, ensuring all contract processing requirements are met. Actively track all sales activity and ratios to measure areas of strength and improvement. Use CRM to track all contacts and ensure professional follow-up. Professional Development: Stay current on topics related to our profession (veteran’s benefits, social security benefits, end-of-life decisions, etc.). Attend training programs scheduled with sales leaders and regional leadership.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. Must have reliable transportation. Knowledge of current federal, state, and local regulations related to the cemetery and funeral industry.
