**Job Overview:**
The Internal Communications Specialist creates, manages and measures communications programs to engage, inspire and inform employees as an integral part of the global communications team. This includes developing internal messaging, executing and measuring engagement initiatives, developing robust content across multiple internal channels, leveraging best practices, formulating and implementing plans. Key interfaces of the group include senior management as well as technical groups and functional management.
The successful candidate will be a versatile, self-driven, reliable team member and detailed-oriented project manager comfortable with internal and external communications. A creative mind and powerful writing skills are a must. Responsibilities include partnering with internal functions to develop communications plans that engage our diverse global workforce, executing and measuring the agreed plans and creating the content that brings our culture to life. Additional responsibility for managing and optimizing internal communications channels such as the intranet, weekly news reporting, employee engagement activities, Viva Engage, etc.
The Communications Specialist plays a key role in the overall global marketing and communications team and manages the successful execution of projects while ensuring the schedule is always maintained and strategic objectives are met.
**Key Tasks and Responsibilities:**
+ Execute internal communications activities with appropriate metrics and goals to ensure that the program advances the agreed outcomes
+ Support execution of internal communications strategies
+ Build and maintain effective/cooperative working relationships with functional leadership such as HR, IT, Talent & Organizational Development, Quality and Safety, Inclusion & Belonging, Regional management
+ Writing, editing, posting/distributing, measuring and monitoring internal communications
+ Additional support proofreading external communications, creative collateral, etc.
+ Manage the approval processes for internal communications, announcements, engagement campaigns, etc.
+ Accountable for internal communications channels including intranet, digital signage, email communications, Viva Engage, etc.
+ Measure and report employee engagement and adjust strategies accordingly
+ Identify and develop internal news and information, develop content and/or output, such as, but not limited to:
+ Corporate and executive memos
+ Functional announcements
+ Employee engagement campaigns
+ Intranet content (Viva Engage, Teams, Sharepoint)
+ Presentations
+ Serve as a contact point for functional communications requests
+ Provide support to Business Line communications such as story identification, editing, proofing
**Essential Qualifications and Education:**
+ The ideal candidate should have excellent written and oral communications skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
+ Bachelor’s degree required in Communications or other related area; a minimum of 3 years of experience
+ Proven ability to execute external and internal communications strategies that are aligned with business goals and objectives
+ Experience should include writing of employee campaigns or external communications
+ Proofreading ability
+ Experience with Teams, Viva Engage and SharePoint
+ Experience with Canva and/or messaging development tools (i.e., Newsweaver, Mail Chimp, Constant Contact) a plus
+ Comfortable exploring and deploying new technologies to improve internal communications
+ Excellent attention to detail
